Hailee Sova

Hailee Sova is a South Florida-based photographer that works in nature. She will earn her BA in Studio Art in May 2023. Though she was born in China, she has lived in Florida since she was 11 months old, making her familiar with the weather, wildlife, and scenery of the state. Her photographs emphasize texture to explore both the intricacies and larger scenes that nature has to offer. She also likes to point out small, simple moments in nature that often go overlooked. The goal of Hailee’s work is to encourage people to protect the environment. She believes that by showing the beauty of nature, people might be more inclined to want to help save it. Hailee currently works as an intern with the FAU Galleries. Fact: Hailee’s favorite animal species to photograph is the nanday parakeet.
